I am Jessica Daly, a Mixed Media Abstract/Custom artist. My work is a reflection of my deep connection to life's abundant experiences, weaving together with meditation, intuition, the vibrancy of nature, and the ever-evolving seasons and emotions that shape our existence.
In my artistic process, I utilize an array of materials, including paints, pastes, and artifacts from daily life. These elements form the essence of my work, giving it a rich and complex texture. I'm drawn to a diverse range of mediums and techniques, including modeling paste and crackle paste, which allow me to craft complex patterns and textures. What truly excites me is creating on a grand scale, where the artwork transcends the canvas and transforms into a captivating 3D illusion. My exploration extends to the encaustic painting technique, which permits me to express myself through carving, scraping, and layering. When I employ encaustic wax, it's a means to establish a profound connection between body and mind. In addition to encaustics, I also work with oil and acrylics, crafting a harmonious blend of techniques and mediums in my creations.
Drawing from the wisdom of my role as a yoga teacher. The foundation of my artistic process is rooted in the practice of meditation. This is my gateway to creating. Aligning with the belief that "Your body exists in the past and your mind exists in the future" (B.K.S. Iyengar). Every piece, whether destined for my own exploration or to a cherished client, my inspiration is eternally nurtured by the ever-changing seasons and rhythms of life. I find beauty in the layers of existence, layers of emotions, experiences, which eventually converge into a visual narrative.
Embracing whispers of the muses, For in these whispers, I find my muse, and in the uncertainties, I discover the pure, untamed essence of artistic expression.
